This service tracks websites visited from a specific computer. It then regularly sends a report of potentially inappropriate websites accessed by that computer to an accountability email address which you designate.

Who Uses Accountability Software?
This service is a great tool for parents wanting to know if inappropriate websites are being accessed from the computer(s) in their home. It is also used by adults wanting to “be held accountable” for their own web activities under the watch of an accountability partner.

Why Do I Need an Internet Filter if I have Accountability software?
Accountability software will only report inappropriate web activity from a computer after the fact. It does nothing to prevent accidental or purposeful exposure to obscene web material. Only by having an Internet filter are you protected from this unwanted content.

However, the recording and notification features of our free accountability software act as a perfect backup for your Internet filter. Accountability software provides peace of mind that your Internet filter is working properly and makes web surfing an “accountable” activity for everyone using the Internet.

Integrity Online does not recommend that you download this free accountability software without having Internet filtering, as it leaves your computer “wide open” to an estimated 4.2 million obscene and pornographic websites.

Also, offering the service for free is a great way for Integrity Online to bring more attention to the need for everyone to have a cleaner, safer Internet.

Is It Easy To Set Up?
It takes about 2 minutes to activate this free service on any Windows based computer. As part of the signup process, you will enter your email address and the email address of the person who will receive notices of any inappropriate sites being visited. These email addresses can be the same or different.

Privacy concerning this service is very important to us. When you install the software, you will be asked for a user ID. All email sent to the accountability email address will come from accountability@integrity.com. The text of the email will only mention your user ID.

How Does It Work?
As part of the setup, you can choose for a monthly or bimonthly report to be sent to the accountability email address. These reports will include information regarding potentially inappropriate websites that have been visited. Also, you can change the designated accountability email address, the reporting period, or your user ID by simply “right” clicking the icon on the computer taskbar and choosing options.

Each time the software is changed, disabled, or deleted an entry will be written to a log file noting the exact date of that activity. This notation will then be reported to the designated accountability email address.

System requirements
This software is compatible with Windows versions 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, & Vista, Internet Explorer 4.0 and newer, Opera, Netscape and Mozilla browsers, including Firefox. It is not Macintosh compatible at this time.
